Mega Miniatures was formed in 2004 and is our product brand name owned by parent company Discount Hobby, Inc.   Originally Mega Miniatures from 2001 to 2003 was known as Dark Ages Miniatures.  We changed the name because there was some confusion in the industry between our company and another company with a similar name.  Johnny Lauck the president of Discount Hobby, Inc. has been in the game and miniatures business since 1985. 

Between 2004 and 2009 Mega Miniatures produced over one million figures selling to 13 Distributors at a wholesale rate.  Starting in 2010 we have pulled out of the wholesale market and now sell direct to consumers.   Therefore, most of what we sell is exclusive to our website and can't be found anywhere else.   We do offer our products in an ebay store if you prefer to shop that way but not at the 5% savings you will find at this store. 

We still plan to offer new products every month and we hope you enjoy coming back and supporting us in our efforts to release very unusual miniatures.  If you enjoy our products but cannot afford them at this time,  you can still help us out by blogging our products and mentioning them in other forums.  Word of mouth is our strongest advertising asset.
